Collecting your hire vehicle with the Avis App

You can still select the car you would like on your App.

No limitations as such. You must be close to the rental location to access the car selection.

If the car is already allocated by the rental desk, then it will be generally held for 2 hours after the rental start time. In no car has been allocated, then the car can be selected via the App at any time.

Once the car and rental is confirmed on the app, then the rental will start. If there is a long delay in reaching the location, then you may contact the desk to reset the rental start time.

The start time on the rental agreement if a car is already assigned, or if an early pick-up is selected it will start upon completion of that process.

Not normally, however some situations require the rental agent to verify information. For example, if your payment card has expired. Some locations also require customers to obtain the keys from the desk.

Currently all first-time Avis Preferred renters will need to go to the desk for identification and payment methods to be verified.
