If you are entitled to a free upgrade due to your Avis Preferred tier, then the App has been programmed to offer this automatically. If you are wanting to redeem a voucher for a free upgrade as a reward, then you will need to follow the usual voucher redemption process when making a booking.
Make sure you have notifications switched on in your Avis App operating system’s settings. In addition, ensure geo-location services are enabled for the phone (both Android and iOS phone settings).

Yes, you can see the current condition of the car in the App.
The condition report in the App should show all damage. If you see any additional damage, this should be reported to a member of staff. There will soon be additional functionality available in the App where you will be able to record any discrepancies. If in doubt, contact a member of the rental location team.
If you have not moved the car you can go back into the App and change your choice of car.
The rental location will have allocated a car (as per normal Avis Preferred procedures). You will need to make the security gate agent or rental desk staff (if collecting keys) aware of the change.
A car has not yet been allocated. An early pick-up can be started in the Avis App.
Avis will still track late flights assuming the correct flight details have been added to the reservation.
